The Search for Cute Walking Shoes

I am having the hardest time finding a really cute pair of shoes to wear sightseeing in Japan. I REFUSE to wear any athletic-type shoe because, come on, it is obvious that I don’t get athletic. Who are we kidding here? But I refuse to be crippled by foot pain and blisters when I only have 3 short days in which to shop. What’s a big fat fashionista to do?

Crocs vs. Sketchers: I vote neither

As of this moment, these are the best (?) options for cute and comfy. When I say Crocs, I DO NOT mean those big hole-y clogs. They have little pink ballerina flats that might do. Also, I’ve seen many a Japanese tourist in my store sporting these; this makes me think they are an acceptable option to pair with my Longchamp bag. My biggest concern: sweaty feet tend to fart in these shoes. Now Sketchers are borderline athletic, but still ballerina-ish. While I am sure there are more options outside of Woodfield Mall, I refuse to look elsewhere – but I am open to suggestions.
